Mulobezi District has proposed the creation of 2 Constituencies -Sichili and Kaluanda following the guidance on Delimitation. This was resolved during a well attended Stakeholder Engagement on the 2026 Delimitation Meeting held at Sichili Secondary School hall in Mulobezi. The new constituencies which were proposed are Kaluanda and Sichili.
Kaluanda has been proposed to have the following wards;
✅Kamanga
✅Kabanga
✅Luamuloba
✅Kasompa
✅Nawinda
The name Kaluanda is from the wisdom of the Indunas in the western side of Mulobezi constituency.
Additionally, the name was derived from contributions of the five wards to ensure inclusivity.
Under Sichili Constituency, three wards the following wards have been proposed;
✅ Sichili
✅ Mulobezi
✅Machile
✅Salumbwe
The proposal is based on Mulobezi’s vast geographical size, large and dispersed population, accessibility challenges to essential services and the need to stimulate economic growth through increased CDF allocation.
Note: The District shall be called Mulobezi , and two Constituencies were proposed Sichili and Kaluanda constituencies.
The meeting brought together community members, Traditional Leaders, Political Players and other stakeholders to participate in national consultations aimed at reviewing and delimiting constituencies ahead of the August 13, 2026 General Elections.
Members of the public are advised that this is just a proposal and that the next stage is to submit before the Provincial Hearing on a date to be announced.
